What this covers

The Edelman Accounting client portal: the website where our clients share documents with us and see their books.

What we keep

• Your name, email address and sign-in details.
• The files you upload or email to the portal, and the text we read from them.
• Notes we keep about the work we do for you.
• If you connect QuickBooks: access to read your QuickBooks company, stored encrypted.
• A record of who did what in the portal, and when.

Who can see it

• The people at your organization who have access to the portal.
• Edelman Accounting.
• Any AI app you yourself connect to the portal, with the same access you have.

Nobody else. We don't sell or share your information.

Services that store or process it for us

• Supabase: database and file storage, in the United States.
• Cloudflare: runs the portal, and reads files with its AI so they can be searched.
• Anthropic: its AI, Claude, reads some files.
• Resend: sends the portal's emails.
• Intuit: QuickBooks, only if you connect it.

These AI services don't use your information to train their models.

QuickBooks

The portal only reads from QuickBooks. It never changes anything there. You can disconnect it at any time, in the portal or in QuickBooks.

Cookies

Only the ones that keep you signed in. No advertising or tracking cookies.

Security

Information is encrypted in transit and backed up daily. Edelman Accounting staff sign in with two-factor. Who can see what is checked by the database itself, not only by the website.

Keeping and removing

We keep your information while we work with you, and for as long as our records require after that. Ask us, and we'll remove your access or tell you what we hold.
